Ranchi, July 8: In the light of the proposed bandh called by petrol pump association on 9 July,2015 against VAT increase by the state Govt. on petrol & diesel, Commercial & Tax Commissioner cum Secretary Mrs. Nidhi Khare said that the rates of petrol & diesel are comparatively less than neighboring states.
Mrs. Khare said that the rates of petrol & diesel in Bihar, West- Bengal, Chhattisgarh & Orissa are higher than in Jharkhand.
She said that the rate of petrol & diesel in Jharkhand is less than the rates of petrol & diesel in Bihar, West- Bengal, Chhattisgarh & Orisa. She requested the Petrol Pump Association to call off the bandh scheduled on 9th July 2015.
