Communal harmony week at Karim City College

Jamshedpur, Dec. 3: Communal harmony week 2015 organised by the NSS wing of Karim City College kicked off at college premises on Wednesday.

Govind Madhav Sharan, Head, Urban Services, Tata Steel, was the chief guest on the occasion, while Dr. Mohammed Zakaria, principal, Karim City College, was the guest of honor.

The first day of the week saw students taking out a rally on the communal harmony. The rally was flagged off at college premises crossed through Sakchi Chowk, Sakchi Jama Masjid, Gurudwara, Manokamna Nath Mandir and was back to college.

Addressing the students, Sharan, said, “We should rise above religion, caste and creed and walk on the path of humanity.”

Later, Spark Music Club of the college led by Chandan and Jitesh presented the welcome song giving message of peace and national unity.

The program was hosted by Prakash Keshri and Pragya Jha. To make the event successful, Dr. SK Anwar Ali, Syed Sajid Parwez and NSS members provided their full support.
