Jamshedpur, Sept 26: Social organization Samarthya Welfare Trust (SWT) today visited shops, residential areas and children�s parks in Jugsalai as a part of their awareness drive to discard the use of plastic in any form including the single use ones. The SWT team urged shopkeepers and residents to totally avoid plastic use as plastic was detrimental to the safety of the environment. It met children in parks and told them not to use plastic.
SWT president Pallavi Dwip while explaining the ill effects of plastic stated that it was a common responsibility to save the environment. Patron Rita Mishra averred that the time had come to take responsibility for saving the environment from further pollution or else, all living forms would be wiped out.
The SWT team comprised Julie Singh, Shilpi Singh, Ritu Sonekar, Manju Singh, Rani Singh, Anjali Singh (Jr) Shilpi and many others.
