Jamshedpur, October 20: Sri Sri Kali Puja Committee held a meeting on Thursday evening at Parsudih Haat Bazar and like every year decided to celebrate Kali Puja with great fervor.
The meeting was presided over by Parsuram Sao were treasurer of the committee Kaushik Debnath presented the books of the account of the previous year which was unanimously passed. Addressing the meeting general secretary Jayant deoDhar and Biplab Bose said, Maa Kali will be worshipped on Saturday, October 29 and 9 pm. Free Bhog will be distributed among the devotees on Sunday, October 30 from 10 am onwards.
The immersion procession will be taken out on Wednesday, November 2 from 7 pm onwards. At the meeting new committee was formed were Arvind Burman was made the patron of the Sri Sri Kali Puja Committee while Rajendra Raj and Shankar Agarwal were elected the chief advisors.
Parsuram Sao was elected the President of the committee, Suprabhat Das, Jayant deoDhar and Dheeraj Yadav were made the working committee president, Biplab Bose, LadaiMunduya, Supriyo Das were elected the general secretaries while Kaushik Debnath and Abhijit Dutta were selected the treasurer. At the end of the meeting Govinda Datta extended the vote of thanks. Also present at the meeting were Rishi Singh, Bappi Nandi, Tapan aich and shopkeepers in large numbers were present.
