Jamshedpur: A colourful cultural event was organized on the occasion of the 153rd birth anniversary of Kavi Guru Ravindra nath Tagore at Pramothnagar, Parsudih, under the aegis of Sonari Tori, a cultural organization, in collaboration with Swami Vivekananda Milan Sangh.
The students of the organization presented various music and dance programmes with the help of their teachers and enthralled the audience. Many people were present during the programme. The artists wore traditional Bengali attire which brought the Bengali culture alive on stage.
The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest Swapan Majumdar, Zila Parishad member, jointly with social worker Muralidhar Barnwal and Club secretary Rana Dey. It was conducted jointly by Rajendra Raj, founder of Sonar Tori, and secretary Rupa Haldhar.
The artists who participated in the celebration included Soumyajit Haldhar, Megha, Rinita, Rajdip, Samir Haldhar, Anushka, Debonita, Sohini, Arpana Hansda, Somi, Gauri, Munmun, Abhishek, Neeta, Diya, Rudra and Neha.
