Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) organized �Coffee With Street Vendors� on Monday to discuss various issues pertaining to the welfare of city vendors. Special Officer Sanjay Kumar presided over the meeting. He was accompanied by the Officer In-charge of Sakchi PS, Madan Sharma, and Sub Inspector NK Tiwary of Bistupur PS.
Addressing the vendors, Kumar said there was possible to start night market at some prominent city place such as Bistupur or Sakchi market. Many vendors supported the proposal.
Kumar said the night market could be started at a place which is usually crowded in the day time, but which becomes isolated at night. He also discussed the issue of rehabilitation of street vendors displaced from Jubilee Park and Golmuri and shifting of Sakchi Patta Market.
The representatives of NF Infratech, a state level survey company, were also present on the occasion. They said those vendors who were left out in the survey would be included in the next survey.
