Jamshedpur, August 10: The Co-operative College was turned into a battle ground when two student groups clashed with each other on Monday.

The fight between Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and the National Students Union of India (NSUI) started during the membership drive of the ABVP at the college Campus on Monday when NSUI members gathered around the campus with hockey and cane sticks.

As reported the NSUI members started opposing the drive and launched an assault upon the ABVP members. The incident resulted into damage of several college furnitures including desks and tables.

People from both the sides came to blows and the ruckus continued for quite some time which also made the students suffer a lot. Later, ABVP along with replenished members sieged the principals chamber and demanded immediate action upon their rivals.

The members cleared the office only after getting assurance by the principal of certain actions. The Bistupur Police was also informed of the situation. On arrival of the police all students fled the scene.
