Ranchi, Dec. 2: Chief Minister Raghubar Das has stressed on the development of a New Housing Policy, sub-divided into three levels namely upper, middle and lower and provide houses.
He directed the officials to remove encroachment and build affordable houses and marketing complexes on the cleared land. Wherever necessary, one time settlement should be considered, he said, adding that land, if required, should be acquired for building affordable houses.
�Since the Prime Minister wants to provide houses to everyone by 2022, it should be done sincerely, the CM said adding that parks and night markets should also be built in the capital.
State housing board MD Pradip Kumar said that the board has prepared a scheme of Rs. 144 crore and has received 17 plots back. He said that community house and shops have been built on a 4000 sq. ft. area at Bariyatu and Argora. The CM directed to ensure distribution of shops.
UDD minister C. P. Singh, chief secretary Rajiv Gauba, development commissioner R. S. Poddar, principal secretary, Finance, Amit Khare, secretary, UDD, Arun Kr. Singh, Pradip Kumar and other officers were present at the meeting.
