Jamshedpur: Chief Minister Raghubar Das made an appeal to the traders and shop owners of Baridih Market to keep the streets free of encroachment.

He walked his way to the Market on Monday afternoon to personally appeal to the shopkeepers to play their due role in keeping the marketplace neat and tidy.

Das made a surprise visit to the Market on his return from the beautification programme at Birsanagar Sunday Market.

He stepped down from his car and walked into the market, causing everyone to surmise the reason behind his visit.

On the CM’s humble appeal, the shop owners gave him assurance to maintain cleanliness in the market and keep it in a tidy state round the clock.

The shop owners also assured the CM against encroaching upon the road or any public place.
