Ranchi, Feb. 3: Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Wednesday issued orders for termination of service of Yadvendra Singh, the then executive engineer-in-charge of Rural Works Department, Ramgarh Circle and the executive engineer-in-charge of NREP, Ramgarh, for misappropriation of funds allocated for implementation of various schemes.
He has been found guilty of using the funds for personal benefit, corrupt practices and working against the norms laid down for state government employees.
It may be noted that Yadvendra Singh is accused of misappropriating crores of rupees from funds allocated to MLAs, MPs, Human Resources Department, Welfare Department, Health Department and Art, Culture and Youth Affairs Department.
It may also be noted that Singh was suspended from his post on July 28, by the state government and posted at the headquarters of the superintending engineer, Road Construction Department, at Ranchi.
The CM said that his government is not in favor of continuing the services of selfish and corrupt government servants and will take serious action against them.
Strict and immediate action would be taken against all government servants who show indifference in implementing schemes. Under the state governmentís ĎYojna Banao Abhiyaní scheme, villagers are themselves presenting schemes for development of their village.
The CM added that it would be the duty of the concerned officials to complete such schemes on time and with impeccable quality.
