Jamshedpur/Ranchi, April 11: A 15-member delegation from Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) led by Sunil Bhaskaran, Chairman, CII Jharkhand & Vice President (Corporate Services) Tata Steel Limited; and Killol Kamani, Vice Chairman, CII Jharkhand & Managing Director Samarth Engineering Co. Pvt Ltd, met chief minister Raghubar Das in Ranchi on Tuesday.
The Chief Minister told the CII team that he would like CII to partner the Government in ensuring that investment intents made during Momentum Jharkhand fructify soon. He also mentioned that the focus areas of his Government included tourism, education, auto industries, ODF, water management and food processing. He said Jharkhand’s push for greater industrialization has evolved into a definitive campaign for job creation and manufacturing.
Industry has been an active participant in this endeavor, the Chief Minister said, adding that the State Government is committed to doing everything to assist industry through policy facilitation, investor hand-holding, and creation of the right ecosystem with infrastructure and ease of doing business.
During the day, Sunil Kumar Barnwal, IAS, Secretary, Department of Industries, Mines and Geology, also interacted with the CII Jharkhand State Council with the objective of understanding the Government’s priority better and working in tandem with it in implementing its action plans for robust industrialization and holistic development of the state.
“The Industry-Government partnership is crucial for the growth of the state. CII will remain an active partner of the state Government in its development agenda,” Mr Bhakaran, Chairman, CII Jharkhand, said.
