CM reviews infrastructure development projects, orders speedy work

Holds deliberations with DC, Sunil Bhaskaran and others

Jamshedpur: Chief Minister Raghubar Das Thursday convened a meeting with the East Singhbhum district officials and the representatives of Tata Steel and Jusco to review infrastructure development projects in the city. He sought updates from Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar and the company officials regarding widening of roads in the city.

Das also reviewed projects pertaining to drinking water supply, recreational activities, park construction and other basic civic amenities. He directed the DC and other officials to expedite implementation of development projects to make sure the citizens start availing their benefits.

Speaking after the meeting, the DC said every homeless and poor person in the district is to be given a housing unit under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The CM has said that all beneficiaries of the scheme should be given possession of PMAY houses as soon as possible. For this purpose, the district administration has earmarked 107 acres of land, he said.

Tata Steel Vice President (Corporate Services) Sunil Bhaskaran and Jusco GM Tarun Daga spoke to the CM on various issues. They were accompanied by Dhananjay Mishra and Rituraj Sinha.
