Jamshedpur, Dec 4: Chief Minister Raghubar Das visited Sarna Sthal in Moharda and offered prayers to the Almighty. He interacted with tribal leaders and local residents and spoke about the work done by his government for the Adivasis. He said the state government had implemented a host of schemes to uplift the Adivasis and conserve their rich culture. He said the BJP-led state government was giving honorarium to the traditional tribal heads such as Manki, Munda, Pradhan and other institutional tribal posts. He said the government was taking steps to promote Santhali language.
Das hit out at previous non-BJP parties for not doing anything for the socio-economic development of Adivasis. He said the Congress, JMM and various regional parties had misled the tribal people during elections. Adivasis were only considered as votebank by such parties, he said.
