Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today issued orders for taking stern action against several engineers of various departments of the state government after finding them guilty of violation of service rules.
He ordered departmental action against Basant Kumar, former superintending engineer of building construction department, building circle 2, who is currently the director of hearing-cum-evaluation-cum-purchase, building construction department, Ranchi.
The three annual increments have also been ordered to be withheld with cumulative effect. He was accused of irregularity in work related to modification of sitting arrangement in the Jharkhand Assembly meeting hall.
The CM has ordered a probe into allegations of playing truant, indiscipline, dereliction of duty and pursuing vested interest against Rajendra Prasad Mandal, former executive engineer of rural works department, works division, Sahebganj. Retired IAS officer Shila Kisku Rapaz will conduct a probe into the allegations.
