Ranchi, June 24: Appealing to people to join the tree plantation drive which will be launched from July 1, Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Friday said that everybody should plant at least five trees and tend them properly. He said that people should swear not to waste water and electricity.
The forthcoming generation will remain secure if we use the resources wisely, the CM added.
He said that this drive has been started with a view to minimize the side effects on environment due to climatic change and make this land clean and green. He said that this drive will be run for one month till July 31.
The CM will get the ministers, secretary, police personnel, officers, departmental heads and staffs take oath on June 28 in the name of Hariyali Sapath program.
This oath taking program will be held on commissionery, district and block levels on June 29 and 30.
On June 29, this program will be held at all the commissionery, DC, police, panchayat and aanganbadi offices, whereas on June 30, all municipal bodies, universities, colleges, schools, state government offices, subdivision and block level offices will conduct greenery oath program.
