CM lays foundation of Rs 240 cr schemes in Littipara

Ranchi, April 20: Laying foundation stone for Rs 240.44 crore schemes and dedicating Rs. 40.77 crore schemes to the people in Littipara, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that Rs 217 crore multi village water supply scheme will be completed in three years.

He said water will be supplied to the households through pipeline.

On this occasion, the CM also inaugurated PTG Dakiya (postman) Yojana and got children admitted in school on block level under the Vidyalaya Chalein Chalayien Abhiyan.

�The promise I had made to provide drinking water has been fulfilled. The development of the nation is linked with the development of the villages. Under the Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana, 3 lakh 80 thousands homes will be made in the state. 30,000 schools will be provided bench-desks with the expenditure of Rs 400 crore,� said the CM.

Terming education as the most important weapon in eradicating poverty, the CM said, �Vidyalay Chalo Chalayien Abhiyan is a part of the state government�s endeavour. The local policy of the government pertains to the dissemination of education in the state. Very soon, 18,000 teachers will be appointed under the local policy. I appeal to educated people to spare at least 1 hour on Sundays for the cause of education.�

The foundation stones laid by the CM include Rs 217 crore Littipara Bahugramin Jalapurti Yojana, Rs 7.56 crore Maheshpur Gramin Jalapurti Yojana, Rs 3.23 crore block-cum-circle office building at Hiraynapur block, Rs 3.18 crore block-cum-circle office building at Amrapara, Rs 5.73 crore bridge on the Gumani river in between Jordiha and Dhamni.

Apart from that, Rs 4.53 crore 100 Mini Gramin Jalapurti Yojana based on solar energy, Pakur Rastriya Gramin Payjal Karyakram for Rs 79 lakhs, 40 dysfunctional attachment units, 40 Mini Gramin Jalapurti Yojana with the cost of Rs 28.15 crore, 100 bedded minority hostel at Pakur block and a bridge on the Bansloi river at Garbari, Maheshpur with the expenditure of Rs 5.98 crore were also among the various schemes the govt. is undertaking.

Das inspected various stalls of different depts. at Vijay Manjhi Stadium. Medicated mosquito net, tricycle, agro-equipments etc. were distributed and appointment letters were given to the newly appointed 5 teachers in Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalay on this occasion. 2 persons were given Pradhani Patta and cheques were distributed among the women groups.

PHED Minister Chandraprakash Choudhary, Welfare Minister Louis Marandi, Principal Sec PHED, PDS Sec and other officers were present on this occasion.
