Ranchi, July 2: Electricity is the need of everyone and it exercises its impact on every aspect of our day to day activities.
Even the electricity Departments officials know it very well how health, education and production sectors are affected without electricity.
Hence it is their moral duty to transmit electricity 24 hours of all the days of the week, said Chief Minister(CM) Raghubar Das while addressing the meeting of officials of Jharkhand State Electricity Board in the conference hall of Project Building.
He said that everybody is related directly with the electricity services: hence the work culture of Jharkhand State Electricity Board must change. He said that people won�t have to contribute money in villages and mohallas to plant poles or install transformers.
It gears up mediation culture and there is no scope of mediators in the electricity board. Now the board staffs will transport wires, poles and transformers at the spot and the fares will be borne by the board from contingency expenses.
Directing about increasing the financial powers of concerned General Managers, he said that transformers and other equipments should be stored so that the people won�t have to face unwanted problems .
He also said that the officials should ensure parallel electricity supply and contingency plan for different areas. He said that the Govt.will not tolerate any lacuna regarding quality of the commodities and if any report comes in this regard, the concerned G.M will be directly responsible.
He said that the Board should learn from the experiences of the staff and do the needful. He said that on forthcoming 15 th November, all dutiful and excellent officers, workers and agencies will be awarded.
The Govt. is committed to give a corruption free electricity transmission system. After the meeting, in an unofficial talk with the press representatives, the CM said that the franchises collect the bills but nobody pays attention at the maintenance.
He said that the Board should ensure qualitative electricity transmission. He urged the people to give him ten months and he would ensure 20 to 22 hours of electricity supply.
In the meeting, Principal Secretary to the CM Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Principal Secretary of Energy Department Mr.S.K.G. Rahate, M.D, J.V.N.N Mr.Rahul Purwar, M.D, Transmission and supply, Mr.Sunil Kumar and Electricity Board Officials who had come from all over Jharkhand were present.
