Ranchi, Aug. 14: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the State govt. is committed for transparent and accountable governance.
The poor will be given their right. The govt. has started to provide food grains through biometric. Referring to the initiation of Electronic- Point of Sale e-Pos as historic, the CM said that it will ease the process. The CM was addressing the people after inaugurating e-Pos machine launched by PDS at Project Building.
The CM said that this new system will rein corruption and help the real beneficiaries get their rightful ration. He said that the best aspect of this system is that the beneficiary can take ration from any PDS of his block with his thumb impression.
The information regarding transportation and lifting the food grain can be received on the registered mobile number of the consumer.
He further said that the Antyodaya families will be given 35 kg rice and wheat @ Rs. 1 per kilo every month. Any complaint in this regard can be lodged on toll free number 18003456598. The CM said that no scheme can be successful without public awareness.
He said that this scheme to be started from 2nd October has been started in 8 districts in the first phase. He said that the shopkeeper and department should ensure that all beneficiaries get the food grain by 7th of every month. The CM also warned to take action on those shopkeepers who will not provide ration by 10th of the month.
Mr. Das said that labourious women of Jharkhand will be connected with PDS through self help group. The Govt. is also trying to implement Daal Bhat Yojana properly. The poor will be provided Daal- Bhat through mobile van. This system will also start from 2nd October. He distributed food-grain also to beneficiaries on this occasion.
PDS Minister Saryu Rai said that the Govt. is trying to provide all facilities to the poor and in this connection, supply chain is strengthened.
