Ranchi: The Principal Secretary to Jharkhand Chief Minister cum Principal Secretary of the Information and Public Relations Department Sanjay Kumar today said the state was moving at fast pace to create new standards in the field of filmmaking.
Kumar was speaking at the Mahurat shot of Nache Nagin Gali Gali, a movie being made in Nagpuri and Bhojpuri languages at Soochna Bhavan. He said Chief Minister Raghubar Das was going to inaugurate the setting up of Film City in Patratu on 15th November.
Also present on the occasion, the deputy director of IPRD Shalini Verma congratulated the producer-director and other artists working in the movie. She said the film industry was opening new avenues for employment and development in Jharkhand. She said this was made possible due to the able leadership of the Chief Minister.
She said an experienced and enthusiastic team of people had been made to run Jharkhand Film Development Corporation. The team was committed to take the film industry in the state to newer heights.
A vote of thanks was proposed by the assistant director of IPRD and treasurer of Jharkhand Film Development Corporation Sayyad Rashid Akhtar.
He said the Corporation welcomed proposals to make inspirational and positive films in the state. The producer-director of the film Manoj Narayan also addressed the gathering.
