CM flags off special train for National Tribal Carnival at Hatia

Ranchi, Oct. 23: Chief Minister Raghubar Das flagged off the Newly Delhi-bound special train taking participants of the National Tribal Carnival from Jharkhand at Hatia railway station here on Sunday.

The forthcoming event will be held from 25th to 28th October. More than 5,000 people from 10 districts of Jharkhand are going to Delhi to participate in it. Trains will also run from Tata and Jasidih, sources said.

The CM said that the culture of the state will be seen and appreciated in the national capital and was bound to attract people towards the state.

He said that poor tribal people will be sent on pilgrimage at state expense.

Das said that the Union government had been requested to complete long railway projects in the state. Jharkhand has received positive response from the Central government, he said. A special train has been provided for South India on demand. After contacting the MPs, MLAs and other important people, special trains will be demanded from other stations of Jharkhand, Das said.

Gumla MLA Shiv Shankar Oraon said that for the first time, this type of arrangement has been done in Jharkhand.

Tribal people from all over the nation will be able to participate in the forthcoming seminar and become aware from the culture and tradition of one another. He thanked the state government for making arrangements for the special train.

Among those present on the occasion included MLA Gangotri Kujur, Ram Kumar Pahan, Welfare Secretary Himani Pandey and senior railway officers.
