Ranchi, Feb. 20: Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Saturday said corruption can be restricted only by spreading information technology (IT).
According to him, the state government is working on delivering services to the people in a transparent way. To ensure this, the government is providing 800 tabs to the supervisors and CDPOs, so that every new born will have his UID number.
“This will help in providing the real time data and also ease in making development programs, the CM said while addressing the ceremony at the Aryabhata auditorium during the launch of daily monitoring plan.
Das said that the state government appointed 10900 ‘Poshan Sakhi’ for making the state free from malnutrition. Half of the appointments have already been done and rest will be done soon. He mentioned that women themselves are strong; we just need to empower them. They need to be aware.
Since ancient times, women have been treated as the incarnation of power in our country. Women are the creators of this universe. Recognizing their importance the state government has taken concrete steps towards the promotion of women. In the budget of financial year 2016-17, the provision of spending 43 percent of total budget on women has been made.
The Chief Minister mentioned that the women of Jharkhand are quite diligent. Despite of the opposite situations, she looks after the family. ‘Being part of a poor family I can better understand the pain. Many great and successful men have a women behind’, he said.
Stressing the need for the anganwadi center, Das said that this would be the base of every child. The women who work at anganwadi center are nurturing the next generation for better society and nation.
Women, Child Development and Social Security minister, Louise Marandi, Ranchi MP Ramtahal Chowdhary, Kanke MLA Jitucharan Ram, principal secretary to the CM Sanjay Kumar, secretary to the CM cum IT secretary Sunil Kumar Burnwal, secretary, Women, Child Development and Social Security Vinay Kumar Chaubey along with other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
