Ranchi, May 20: Chief Minister Raghubar Das instructed the officials to ensure proper and prompt facilities for pilgrims during month long Shrawni Mela at Deoghar and Basukinath.
He asked the officials to be prompt to provide sanitation, zero cut power supply during the mela period. Chief Minister was chairing a high level review meeting today at the Project Bhawan. Das directed the officials to manage the crowd tactfully and ensure proper darshan. Without co-operation of all departments and local people this event cannot be managed properly, added CM.
CM instructed the officials to engage local people from Deoghar and Basukinath (Dumka) to ensure the successful mMela event.
To manage the crowd volunteers from social organizations, civil defense and chamber should be associated with deployed police force. CM further said that these volunteers should be trained properly and local administration should ensure their proper food and accommodation.
He advised for shift-wise deployment of these trained volunteers and armed forces. Das asked the officials to arrange tent accommodation for the pilgrims at Jasidih railway station and nearby places.
During the review meeting it was decided that special rail services for mela will be requested to Ministry of Railways. CM instructed the concerned officials to arrange portable mast lights; walky-talky, dust bins etc. for uninterrupted power supply sufficient transformers have been stored, added CM.
Chief secretary Raj Bala Verma, Development Commissioner Amit Khare, additional chief secretary (home) N. N. Pandey, , principal secretary to CM Sanjay Kumar, DGP D. K. Pandey DGP, Arun Kumar Singh, principal secretary, Urban Development Department, Sunil Kumar Burnwal Secretary to CM, Avinash Kumar, secretary tourism, along with DCís of Deoghar and Dumka attended the meeting.
