Ranchi : Chief Minister Raghubar Das today expressed grief over the death of one Basant Dehri in a road accident in Gopikander. He said the Dumka district administration had taken prompt action and after postmortem, the body of the deceased was carried in a government ambulance to his residence.
He said financial assistance was also given to the aggrieved family. The Chief Minister said he learnt about the incident through newspapers which showed a banner on the body of the deceased before post-mortem. As soon as the matter came to light, the district administration was ordered to investigate the matter, he said.
�On the direction of Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Kumar of Dumka, trainee IAS officer Vishal Sagar will investigate the entire matter. The sub-divisional officer of Dumka and Zonal Officer, Gopikander has been directed to make sure that the family of the deceased is provided financial assistance and all other facilities under the National Family Protection Scheme,� said the CM.
District administration said that the body was covered with a banner by the relatives of Basant Dehri in the hospital. However, investigation of the case is being done by trainee IAS Vishal Sagar.
