CM to bless 15 couples in mass marriage in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Nov. 17: Social organization ‘Samadhan’ will organise mass wedding for fifteen underprivileged couples at Sidhgora Town Hall Ground on Tuesday, December 6. A day before the wedding day, Mehendi and musical evening will be held on Monday evening.

Samadhan will provide all things needed to settle down and spend a married life where 25 people each from bride and groom side will be invited to witness the ceremony for whom food coupons will be provided for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The marriage registration of the couples, who will complete all the formalities at the mass wedding will be done at Jamshedpur court.

BJP district President and patron of ‘Samadhan’, Dinesh Kumar, on Thursday said, chief guest for the mass wedding will be chief minister Raghubar Das while guest of honour will be minister Saryu Rai, Amar Bauri, Louis marandi, Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato, senior leaders from Jharkhand government, corporates and others will be present on the day.

Talking to the media, Dinesh Kumar informed, each groom will be provided separate decorated cars for the barat along with arrangement of Band and firecrackers will be made available. 15 mandaps (pavilion) for wedding will be prepared where dress code for groom is safari suit while for bride is the wedding gown, added Dinesh.

Also present at the press conference were President of ‘Samadhan’ Poonam Vig, secretary Harjeet Singh Bhatia, vice-president Ajay Singh, treasurer Kuljeet Sadana, Narmadeshwar Singh, Tanveer, Ankit Anand and others.

The 15 couples registered for the mass wedding include- Muchiram Hembrom (Jadugora) weds Dhani Tudu (Potka), Raj Mukhi (Hume Pipe Area) weds Reena Kumari (Agrico), Sagar Sahu (Sonari) weds Puja Bhuiyan (Agrico), Santosh Ram (Agrico) weds Anjali Rai (Golmuri), Ramesh Bhuyan (Agrico) weds Priya Kumari (Agrico), Kailash Kumar (Tamad) weds Puja Kumari (Gadra), Kaalay Ho (Asanboni) weds Renuka Ho (Potka), Khela Ram Soren (Govindpur) weds Pano Murmu (Rahargora), Mohan Mardi (Bagbera) weds Shalje Mahali (Potka), Vivek Deep (Kadma) weds Neha Singh (Kadma), Goutam Kalindi (Jhinkpani) weds Shilpa Shankar (Baridih), Harish Chandra Patro (Bagbera) weds Meena Pan (Bagbera), Ramjeet Soren (Seraikella) weds Rukmani Tudu (Bagbera), Sonu Patro (Kitadih) weds Varsha Kumari (Bagbera) and Amit Karmakar (Birsanagar) weds Urmila Mishra (Bagbera).

The couples will be provided 32 goods including bed, mattress, two pillows, two bed sheets, two quilt, five saree set, Safari Suit, wrist watch for groom, table fan, suitcase, utensils set, wedding accessories, PM Suraksha Bima Yojana worth Rs 2 lakh, joint bank account etc.

A member of the organisation said, wedding preparations are ongoing at fast pace with the first mass wedding organised in the year 2015 where 11 couples tied the knot and the number has been increased to 15 this year. The members of Samadhan have been working for the last four months to make the event successful.
