Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das distributed awards and dividends among three women connected with dairy production and felicitated them with the cash prize of Rs 10,000, Rs 7,500 and Rs 5000 respectively.
These milk producers supplied more than 1,000 liters of milk to Medha dairy for more than 200 days in a year. Many more women were felicitated on the occasion.
The CM said that dairy, poultry, goat rearing and fisheries are prospering and women are becoming self-dependent. He appealed to people to connect poor neighboring people with dairy work.
He said that many people have been employed in Medha dairy and it is proposed to be opened at other places in the state.
CS Raj Bala Verma, Addl. CS Amit Khare, Secretary to the CM Sunil Kr. Barnwal, Secretary Pooja Singhal and Medha dairy officers were also present on the occasion.
