CM appears in court for violation of model code of conduct cases

 
Jamshedpur, July 11: Chief Minister Raghubar Das appeared in the Jamshedpur civil court in three cases of violation of model code of conduct on Monday afternoon.

Das first appeared in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) G. K Tiwary in connection with a case for violation of code of conduct during 2009 Lok Sabha polls.

Raghubar Das was the state party president then. The case was lodged with the Bistupur police station for putting up posters and banners at Bistupur roundabout without permission. The CJM closed evidence in the case.

The other two cases of model code of conduct violation were in the court of first class judicial magistrate S. N Lamaye where the Chief Minister recorded statements for cases lodged with the Sidhgora police station for putting up party posters and banners at Bagunhatu and Sidhgora during the 2009 Assembly elections.

Raghubar Das was the BJP’s Jamshedpur East candidate then.
