CM appeals to Mukhiyas and Swayamsevaks to help make Jharkhand ODF by 2018

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that Jharkhand will be made an Open Defecation Free (ODF) state by 2018. He said that the funds collected from 14th Financial Commission will be used in making the villages ODF.

He said that the people have to take resolution in making India of Swami Ji�s dream. He said that work of a person keeps him alive in people�s memory and so, everyone should work creatively for the betterment of the society. The CM made the observation while addressing the Mukhiyas and Swayamsevaks of 576 panchayats of Kolhan Division through webcasting.

He said the development of the state was related directly to the development of the poor and marginalized people of the state. �The government is giving pro-forma to helpless, landless and widows above 60. Widows who are homeless and not given any pension will be given pension soon. Migration will be stopped and swayamsevaks will be given promotion amount on better performance,� he said.

The CM said that Swayamsevaks should play an important role in making the state ODF by 2018. He also said that we should celebrate festivals in a disciplined way. He congratulated the people of the state on the occasion of Sohrai and Makar Sankranti.

CS Raj Bala Verma, Additional CS Amit Khare, Principal Secretary A. P. Singh and IT officers were present on the occasion.
