Jamshedpur: Acting on the instructions of Deputy Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar, a major cleanliness drive has begun across 22 Chhath Ghats within the Mango Municipal Corporation limits. The number of sanitation workers has been allocated based on the size and needs of each ghat, with supervision by CMM, CO, CRP and sanitation inspectors.
The Deputy Municipal Commissioner directed that cleaning at all ghats must be completed before the Chhath festival. Workers registered under the Mukhyamantri Shramik Yojana are participating in the campaign, working daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and marking attendance in a register.
Over 40 workers began cleaning at key locations such as Intek Well, Shyam Nagar, Ramnagar, Lakshman Nagar, Vastu Vihar and Chanakyapuri. Officials stated that all preparations will be completed on time to ensure clean and safe ghats for devotees during the festival.
