Cleanliness can help build a healthy and prosperous India: Lalit Das

Jamshedpur, March 27: Social worker Lalit Das on Monday said that we must maintain cleanliness in public places like we do in our homes.

Addressing a inaugural function of seven -day camp organised by NSS unit of Marwari College, Ranchi, on the subject ‘Clean India and prosperous India’, convener of social organisation ‘Samarpan’ said, we should avoid throwing dirt everywhere and if our country is clean then the people will remain healthy which in turn will help India prosper.

Today we should pledge to make our society, state and country clean and take India towards prosperity, Das added.
Dr. AK Malkani, principal of the Marwari College, Ranchi, said, there are several dimensions of life and cleanliness is the most important of them. The person who helps keep the society clean, he gets reflected in the society.

Prakash Jha of Ranchi University said, the person associated with the National Service Scheme, should launch door-to-door campaign and make the people aware about cleanliness.

Prakash Kumar, convener of NSS unit of Marwari College, Ranchi, informed that the camp will run from March 27 to April 2 in the college premises. The programme was anchored by Dr. Ajay Kumar Malkani while Dr. Prakash Kumar extended the vote of thanks.

Earlier, the seven-day camp was jointly inaugurated by the chief guest Lalit Das, special guest Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, president of Mahavir Mandal, Ranchi and NSS convener of Ranchi University Prakash Jha.
