Jamshedpur, Nov 15: South Eastern Railway’s Chakradharpur railway division has officially withdrawn the operational stoppages of two pairs of trains at Salgahjhari West Cabin.

The new provision will come into effect from November 16, after which the trains will pass through the location without halting.

According to the notification issued by the Railways, the two train pairs affected by this change are:

* 18019/18020 Jhargram–Dhanbad–Jhargram Express

* 68023/68024 Jhargram–Purulia–Jhargram Passenger

Until now, these trains made a brief operational halt at Salgahjhari West Cabin for technical reasons.

The stoppages have now been removed as part of an operational streamlining effort aimed at improving the overall efficiency and flow of train movement in the section.

Railway officials said the changes are expected to enhance train speed and punctuality.

The operations department of the division stated that eliminating unnecessary operational interruptions will ease congestion on the main route and positively impact the average running time of trains.

They also clarified that this decision will not affect passengers, since the location did not have any commercial halt.

The railways has urged passengers to take note of the change and update their travel plans accordingly.

The division added that any future alterations in stoppages or operations will be communicated through official notifications.

The move is being seen as another step towards improving operational efficiency across the network.
