Jamshedpur: Preparations are in full swing for the 31st Basant Mahotsava going to be organized on 11th and 12th January at Shakti Dham, Sakchi, near Agrasen Bhavan under the aegis of Sri Rani Sati Seva Sangh, Jamshedpur, a city-based cultural organization.
The organizers said around 5000 devotees of Dadi Rani Sati are expected to arrive in the city from far and wide to attend the forthcoming event. The event will be organized in a grand manner and with great fervour.
“It is going to be a grand event for the people of the city, especially members of the Marwari community living in and around Jamshedpur.
It will be both a religious as well as cultural event. Any devotee may come and worship Dadi Sati. No registration will be required for this purpose,” said Chandulal Bhalotia, president of the organizing committee.
Bhalotia and other members of the committee said around 10,000 devotees of Dadi Sati will gather around Shakti Dham in front of Agrasen Bhavan, Sakchi, to witness the festival.
A kalash ytra will be taken out from Sri Ram Mandir, Bistupur, to Shakti Dham. Around 2500 women will participate in the procession. A bhajan programme will also be organized apart from the worship of Dadi Sati, they said.
