Jamshedpur: Members of the business community and people from different quarters condoled the demise of the city-based businessman and social worker Chandulal Bhalotia here on Friday.
Terming him as a maverick businessman and a dedicated member of the society, the traders paid floral tributes to Bhalotia on his funeral ceremony.
A large number of people comprising members of the business fraternity, various social and cultural organizations and politicians paid homage to the veteran businessman who passed away at Tata Main Hospital Thursday night.
The veteran was cremated at Shiv Ghat crematorium. His funeral procession started at his CH Area residence.
While the traders and other dignitaries participated in Bhalotia funeral procession, the Income Tax authorities conducted a survey at the office of BEBBCO owned by Bhalotia brother.
Bhalotia suffered from kidney disease. He had recently participated in the Gopashtami celebrations at Tatanagar Gaushala in Jugsalai on 8th November last.
Next day, he was taken to TMH after his condition deteriorated.
Bhalotia is survived by his wife Vidya Devi and six children.
