Circle police inspector nabbed accepting bribe in Chaibasa

Jamshedpur, June 1: A team of anti-corruption bureau (ACB), Jamshedpur nabbed circle police inspector of Chaibasa Sadar, Prem Mohan Prasad Mehta (45) while accepting Rs 18,000 as bribe at his office at Chaibasa in West Singhbhum district.

Deputy superintendent of police, ACB, Amar Pandey, who had led a six-member team nabbed the police inspector, said Mehta was arrested soon after he accepted the bribe from a mishap case accused Sushil Keshri, who is a resident of Manjhari police station area in West Singhbhum.

The police officer has been accused of taking bribe for removing the name of the vehicle owner from the confiscated list. The arrested police inspector was later brought to the ACB’s divisional office at Sonari for necessary action.
