Jamshedpur, Sep 15: CII Foundation and CII Jharkhand in association with the district administration of West Singhbhum launched a vaccination drive in Keraikela, Chakradharpur, West Singhbhum, Jharkhand on Wednesday as part of the ongoing drive at various locations.Â
Rural communities, local residents, notified and denotified tribes benefited under the vaccination camp. A total of 2500 people would get vaccinated through this vaccination camp.
The vaccination camp was inaugurated by Gita Koda, MP, West Singhbhum and Ananya Mittal, Deputy Commissioner, West Singhbhum in presence of Chanakya Chaudhary, chairman, CII Jharkhand State Council and vice president – corporate services, Tata Steel, Tapas Sahu, vice chairman, CII Jharkhand State Council, Abhijeet Sinha, SDO, Chakradharpur and Vijay Bhuller, state head, CII Jharkhand. The dignitaries highlighted the importance of vaccination and covid appropriate behaviour in fighting the pandemic.
To revive the economy and prevent future waves of Covid-19, CII is now focusing on accelerating vaccination through its project Vaccine Nation catalysing industry participation in vaccination drives across India, especially in rural India and Tier II and III cities. The CII Foundation is rolling out vaccination camps with a focus on underserved and marginalised communities across India. These camps are being set up in partnership with industry, medical authorities and hospitals and grassroots organisations, operating at the community level.
