Ranchi: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has raised suspicions regarding the involvement of Nishi Pandey in the murder of Bitka Bauri, the MLA representative of Barkagaon MLA Amba Prasad. In a recent development, CID has recommended taking legal action against Nishi Pandey for her alleged role in the criminal conspiracy leading to the murder.
Bitka Bauri fell victim to an unfortunate incident on February 25, 2023, when three unidentified assailants on motorcycles took his life. CID’s investigation report, authored by the SP, suggests that Nishi Pandey, associated with the political party Bharatiya Jantantra Morcha and widow of the deceased Kishore Pandey, is believed to have orchestrated the murder as part of a well-planned conspiracy.
The report points to the notorious Pandey gang, led by Nishi Pandey and incarcerated Vikas Tiwari, as the orchestrators of the crime. The gang allegedly controls the entire coal business in the mining areas of Patratu in Ramgarh district, facing opposition from local MLAs and workers. Bitka Bauri, who represented the local MLA, actively opposed the illegal coal business by forming the Saunda Basti Sangharsh Foundation.
According to the CID investigation, Nishi Pandey and Vikas Tiwari are currently operating the gang through the Telegram app. The report reveals that a meeting held in Patratu Basti on February 13, 2023, laid out a plan to eliminate Bitka Bauri. Furthermore, the investigation exposes a reluctance on the part of local police to take action against Nishi Pandey.
