Jamshedpur, March 5: The Coal Handling Plant (CHP) adjudged best safety conscious department during the 43rd National Safety week-2014 celebration at the Adhunik Power & Natural Resources Limited (APNRL), Padampur (SaraikelaKharsawan) site. The safety week was commemorated from February 26 to March 4.
Chief Guest on the occasion Mr. Naresh Goyal, President (Power), APNRL shared his valuable experiences and imparted knowledge for safety measures which could be implemented at the workplace.
Mr. Naresh Goyal emphasized on the importance of safety in an industrial scenario. He also stressed on achieving a goal of zero accident by eliminating unsafe conditions & by following safe practices at work places all the time in his speech.
With round of pledges & oath spree towards maintaining zero accident streak in company the week-long Safety Day observance concluded at the Adhunik Power & Natural Resources Limited (APNRL). During the week company staged numbers of safety awareness programmes and quiz competitions for employees and contractors.
Large gathering of APNRL and Contractor employees were also addressed by other senior officers like Mr. P K Mitra, Sr. VP (Projects) and Mr. P K Biswas, Head (O&M) while Mr. Manu Rastogi, AVP (HR, Safety, P&A), Mr. Bikash Mandal, VicePresident and Mr. Sanjay Jain, EVP (Mines) also shared the dais on the occasion. Prizes were also distributed by the Chief Guest and other officers to the winners of different safety competitions like Poster paining, slogans writing & quiz competition etc.
