Jamshedpur, May 16: Visual Environment Programmes for children was organized during the ongoing Summer Camp at JRD Sports Complex on Saturday.
Ms. Priya Ranjan of Corporate Sustainability, Tata Steel gave a presentation on Awareness Session on Sustainability & Environment Management.�
The session covered the basics of Sustainability concepts, care for Environment & Biodiversity and Social aspects where� children could play a role.
The children were encouraged to take specific & simple initiatives like planting trees,� repairing dripping taps, saying no to plastic, not making noise, switching off lights & fans when not in use, not littering,� taking care of the lesser privileged sections of the society etc.�
Almost 1000 people including children, parents and coaches attended the programme were Charles Borromeo, Head Sports was also present.
It may be noted that Sports Department, Tata Steel is organizing 19 days Summer Coaching camp for Students of various schools and community of� Jamshedpur from 11th to�30th May, 2015�at JRD Tata Sports Complex, Armoury Ground, Beldih Golf Course and�Gopal Maidan.�
Over 2200 children are participating in the above camp and are coming along with their parents.�
