Children gifted study material on Rajiv Gandhi�s birth anniversary

Jamshedpur, Aug 21: The Telco Block Congress Committee, led by Vinod Rajak today distributed study material and sweets among children at a programme organized at the Manifit Community Centre to mark the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Members also planted saplings on the occasion. All Congress members present on the occasion offered floral tributes in front of the portrait of the late Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. The programme was conducted by Youth Congress general secretary Satish Chandra Rajak.

The chief guest on the occasion was former YC national secretary and Bhavnathpur Assembly constituency In-charge Jyotish Yadav. In his speech, Yadav said that the present day electronic communication revolution was the brainchild of Rajiv Gandhi. He said, �Today the BJP is taking the kudos for the foundation of the Shri Ram Janmabhumi Temple in Ayodhya but do not forget that it was Rajiv Gandhi who had initiated prayers at the site during his tenure.�

Those present on the occasion were YC district general secretary Abhay Singh, Krishna Prasad Thakur, Raju Yadav, Ramesh Thakur, Ashok Kumar Yadav, Ranjit Rajak, Balram Rajak, Dipak Kumar, Anil Thakur, Mukesh Rajak, Suresh Rajak and others were present on the occasion.
