Jamshedpur: District public relations officer (DPRO) of East Singhbhum Sanjay Kumar and block development officer (BDO) Sachchidanand Mahato today felicitated children of class III up to class VIII studying in the Upgraded Middle School in Dhusra village of Patamda.
The children were felicitated for playing a vital role in making their parents literate. The DPRO said the school children were encouraging their parents to learn how to read and write.
The DPRO and the BDO taught English and mathematics to the children during the visit and also gave study materials to them.
The school teachers and other students were present on the occasion along with the villagers. District administration has launched a literacy campaign in Dhusra with the help of children.
