Jamshedpur, Nov 9: In a special event on Chhath festival organized by California Television America, five popular vocalists of Jamshedpur set the mood for one of the greatest Indian festivals, Chhath Mahaparv as devotees gleefully listened to the songs while delving into the special rituals that are performed on the occasion. Swami Shubhanand Puri Maharaj, the founder of California Television America, has thanked the five artists of the steel city who rendered the songs.

Lauding them, Swami Shubhanand said, “You have given your valuable time on our channel, which has been heard by the people of America and it is being liked a lot. Thanks to singers Ajit Aman (Adityapur), Sneha Mishra (Jugsalai), Birendra Upadhyay (Adityapur), Somi Choudhary (Mango) and Shalini Sinha (Nagpur). In future too, we hope that you will provide a part of your precious time to our channel. Manju Sinha of Jamshedpur, who anchored the programme, too has done an extraordinary job and I thank her too.”

The Swami said that there were many Indians and people of Indian origin who loved to be associated with Indian culture and his TV channel presented programmes associated with culture and tradition of India. “The best part is, people have loved the Chhath songs and they will be [provided repeat telecasts,” he said.
