Jamshedpur: In a poignant tribute to the four Sahibzadas, a Chetna March led by Jugsalai Station Road Gurdwara Sahib gathered local communities on Veer Bal Diwas. The event, attended by Mahendra Pal Singh Bhatia and Bhagwan Singh, featured young performers displaying Gatka, captivating onlookers. The procession, remembering the sacrifices of the Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s family, traversed Jugsalai, led by Inderjit Kaur and women from Stree Satsang Sabha.

Background: Veer Bal Diwas commemorates the martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s family from December 21 to 27. Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared December 26 a government holiday in schools. The announcement, made on January 9, 2022, during Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Prakash Parv, is now celebrated annually.

Chetna March Details: Gurucharan Singh Jugnu and youth spearheaded the Chetna March, culminating in Guru’s Langar at Jugsalai Gurdwara Sahib. Coordinator Jaswinder Singh Romi orchestrated the event, with the support of community leaders and the entire committee.

The march not only paid homage to the four Sahibzadas but also showcased unity and reverence within the Sikh community.
