Charity House crowned Overall champion at KSMS Sports meet

Jamshedpur, Dec. 15: Kerala Samajam Model School organized the 24th annual sports meet at JRD Tata Sports Complex on Monday.

Mr. Rituraj Sinha, Chief, Corporate Services, Tata Steel graced the opening ceremony as the Chief Guest and stated that the quality of Sports Day of schools has been improving year by year. He hoped the students’ enjoy the event and wished them all the best.

The school’s office bearers and the students of Std. 12 marched with colourful flags accompanied by students of Std. 9, 10& 11.

The flags fluttered against the clear blue sky, creating perfect ambience for sportsmanship. After the oath-taking ceremony, The Chief Guest encouraged and congratulated the students for colourful and enthusiastic participation in the event. This was followed by colourful drills and races.

Three drills and formations were presented by about 2000 students of L.Kg.-U.kg-‘Little Champs on the Floor’, Std. I-III- ‘Happy Feet’, Std. IV to Std. VIII, ‘The Titans’. The Karate and Yoga presentation impressed the audience with their power and finesse.

Several sporting events and races were held during the day and overall champion was awarded to Charity House while Peace House was adjudged the runner-up.

Charity House bagged the award for Best Marchpast, Shubham Kumar (Std XII) won the best athlete (Boy) while Krishna Roy (Std VI) won the best athlete (Girl).

Earlier the members of the Board of Trustee, Managing Committee, Kerala Samajam also attended the ceremony and witnessed the oath taking ceremony and the march-past by the outgoing batch. Prizes were distributed by Mr. T K Sukumaran, Member, Board of Trustee, Kerala Samajam. Loud cheers and shouts of victory echoed through the stadium.
