Jamshedpur: Tatanagar station witnessed a sudden wave of panic as a mischievous langur invaded the platform, leaving passengers startled. The langur, seemingly fearless, engaged in a series of antics, climbing on passengers’ shoulders and, in some instances, aggressively attacking them. However, amidst the chaos, several passengers attempted to pacify the langur by offering food items.
The situation took a turn for the worse when the langur bit and injured two passengers on platform number one near the railway station. Sources indicate that the langur, which boarded the Ispat Express from Rakhamines on Tuesday, reached Tatanagar station without causing any trouble during the train journey. Its journey continued as it ventured towards Burmamines Gate and later crossed the tracks to reach platform number one.
Railway officials, upon learning about the injuries caused by the langur, promptly notified the forest department to handle the situation. Authorities urged for the immediate capture and removal of the langur from the station premises. The entire incident has gained traction on social media, with passengers sharing videos and images of the unexpected chaos caused by the langur’s antics at Tatanagar station.
