ICAI Jamshedpur holds seminar
Jamshedpur: Many changes are expected in Income Tax audit from 20th August onwards. The new provisions have not only worried the tax payers but have also evoked concern from chartered accountants. A seminar was held to discuss the issue at the Centre for Excellence on Saturday under the aegis of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) , Jamshedpur chapter.
Addressing the seminar, Pawan Kumar Agrawal, president of the Jamshedpur chapter, said the new changes will not only affect the CAs but also all tax payers including traders and businessmen. He said any such changes should be introduced from the beginning of the financial year and not in the middle of the fiscal.
He said a letter in this regard has been written to the Central Board of Direct Taxes.
Many other CAs addressed the seminar. Among those present included Gopal Harlalka, PN Sanghari, Jagdish Khandelwal, Kishan Choudhary, Bishan Agrawal, Dilip Golchha, NK Jain, Rajesh Agrawal, Vinod Agrawal, Shishir Mishra, Sriprakash Agrawal and Prabhat Seksariya.
