Chandrasekaran switches on fairyland illumination at Jamshedpur’s Jubilee Park

Jamshedpur: The Steel City sparkled with colourful lights on Monday evening as Tata Group Chairman N. Chandrasekaran inaugurated the grand illumination at Jubilee Park on the eve of the 187th birth anniversary of Tata Steel founder Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata.

As he switched on the decorative lights, the park transformed into a dazzling fairyland.

The park is beautifully decorated with theme-based lighting, vibrant figures and artistic electrical designs that left visitors mesmerised.

This year’s decorations creatively portray the life, vision and industrial contributions of J.N. Tata, along with the achievements of the Tata Group.

The Founder’s Day celebrations extend beyond Jubilee Park. Major squares, roads and prominent buildings across Jamshedpur have been adorned with colourful garlands and decorative lighting, giving the city a festive appearance.

Tata Trusts Chairman Noel Tata, Tata Steel CEO and Managing Director T.V. Narendran and senior officials of the group were also present during the inauguration ceremony.

Jubilee Park will remain open to the public from March 3, allowing residents and visitors from nearby areas to enjoy the illuminations. The park will remain closed on March 4 due to Holi and reopen on March 5. In view of the celebrations, the district administration has restricted the movement of heavy vehicles within the city.

Every year, Founder’s Day brings together children, youth and elderly citizens, who throng the park and other decorated spots to soak in the festive atmosphere and celebrate the enduring legacy of J.N. Tata.
