Jamshedpur: Two persons died while over 20 got severely injured in a road accident near Nargadih village under Chandil police station area on Saturday.
Sources said the mishap occurred early morning when a pick-up van carrying the victims from a reception party overturned. A toddler and a 40 year old man, identified as Guruwari Singh and Govardhan Munda respectively, died in the incident. The injured were taken to MGM Hospital where their condition was serious, sources said.
Police said the incident occurred when the driver of the van lost control over the vehicle due to high speed of the four-wheeler. The deceased and other passengers had come to Nargadih to attend a post-wedding ceremony.
