Champion canines steal the spotlight at Jamshedpur Dog Show

Specialty shows feature Labrador, Beagle, Doberman, and Siberian Husky

Jamshedpur, January 10: Day 2 of the 77th & 78th Championship Dog Show organized by the Jamshedpur Kennel Club saw exceptional performances from dogs across various breeds. Judged by international experts, the event celebrated top dogs for their excellence in breed standards, temperament, and presentation.

Obedience Test Classes 1, 2, 3, and 4, along with specialty shows for Labrador Retrievers, Beagles, Dobermans, and Siberian Huskies, were successfully organized.

In the Doberman category the Best in Show was Am.Ch. Cambria’s Boy Wonder, owned by Abhimanyu Reddy. Second Best in Show: Drogo of Applin, owned by Soumyajit Saha.

Third Best in Show: Ch Hextor’s Hip and Happening), owned by C. Abhimanyu Reddy.

Additional winners included Scarlex’s Yosie A Latin Desire and Jatin’s Andre, who impressed in their respective categories. The “Best of Puppy in Show” honour went to Merlin’s Dark Desire, owned by Pibki Basu.

In the Siberian Husky category: Best in Show: Gurpreetlines Sultan, owned by Gurpreet Singh. Second Best in Show: Foxfire Gran Terino , owned by Vijay Prabhakaran. Third Best in Show: Prinik’s List Dragon , owned by Nikhil V. Kamthe.

The “Best of Puppy in Show” accolade was awarded to Gurpreetlines Chobber, while Zokatas Chimes and Chandeliers secured the reserved title.

In the Labrador Retriever Category: Best in Show: CH Periwal’s Bigger Boss owned by Pawan Periwal. Second Best in Show: Junior Devil of Davidoff owned by Chandrajit Chakraborty. Third Best in Show: Baretta owned by Indranil Biswas and Somnath Ghosh.

Labradors, known for their charisma, were in top form, with Labanya’s Honney earning the fifth position and Jack of Davidoff rounding off the top six. Best of Puppy in show award was bagged by Game by Kaushik Ghoshal.

The reserved category award went to Chinar’s Rolly owned by Prabhnoor Singh Randhwa.  In the Beagle Category: Best in Show: CH Maruthamwood’s Oreo , owned by Aroop Biswas. Second Best in Show: CH Red Stone’s Remo, owned by Ratikesh Naik and  Shrikant Wadhi. Third Best in Show: Redstone’s Cookoo , owned by Gulshan Jangda.

Alice clinched “Best of Puppy in Show,” while Tom took the reserved title.

Judges Maria Elisa Rizzini (Brazil), Alex Zee (Taiwan), and Dr. Chakappan Chantarasmee presided over the competitions, ensuring fair and expert evaluations. This championship served as a remarkable platform to celebrate the elegance and spirit of top-performing canines.

The 34th FCI Show under the auspices of the Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI) and The Kennel Club of India along with 77th JKC Show will be held on January 11.
