Chamber delegation presents Jamshedpur city improvement proposals to DC

Jamshedpur: A delegation from the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce, led by President Vijay Anand Moonka, met with East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, IAS, to discuss a wide array of issues affecting the city and propose potential solutions. The meeting covered an extensive range of topics, from urban development and infrastructure to business concerns and environmental issues.

The delegation presented a list of 20 key points for consideration, including the reopening of closed registry in Tata Command Area, the establishment of Dhalbhumgarh airport, and addressing encroachment problems in various parts of the city. They also raised concerns about expediting arms license applications for businessmen, introducing an AC bus service between Tata and Ranchi Airport, and enhancing bank security measures for NEFT and RTGS transactions.

Other significant issues discussed were mitigating elephant conflicts in Chakulia block, addressing rural land encroachment, setting up a permanent fire brigade in Jugsalai, and implementing parking solutions near Jugsalai Overbridge. The Chamber also highlighted the need for traffic management near Tata Steel Power House, removal of barricades in Medicine Line Sakchi, and installation of high mast lighting for Sakchi Bazaar Bata Chowk.

Deputy Commissioner Mittal listened attentively to the delegation’s concerns and provided responses to each point raised. She assured the group of prompt action on various issues, committing to seek guidance from relevant departments, expedite ongoing projects, and issue necessary instructions to address the problems. For some matters, such as the Dhalbhumgarh airport project, she indicated that work was in progress and good news could be expected soon.

The Chamber delegation, which included Honorary General Secretary Manav Kedia, Vice President Anil Modi, and other prominent members, expressed satisfaction with the Deputy Commissioner’s responsive approach. They appreciated her assurance of swift action on the discussed points and her willingness to consider their suggestions for improving various aspects of city life and business operations.

  1. Domestic airport is a dream to citizens. Who is playing politics and what benefits they r getting. Before and after Mango bridge mo traffic signals. Auto rikshas always blocking road put commuters in problem. Nearby police on duty spectators and busy with Challan and collection pocket money.
