Chaibasa, Jan. 14: On the eve of Makar Sankranti celebration, people in large numbers were seen in Chaibasa market.
The traditional food items were sold like hot cakes. The devotees would take dip in river on the auspicious occasion of Makar as the Sun god will enter in Makar Rekha on 15 January.
The people have put up pandal on Thursday itself on the bank of river to celebrate the holy festival on Friday morning. The idols of Goddess Tusu were also seen purchased by the locals.
