Chaibasa girl Reshmi Kumari tops Jharkhand in JAC Class 12 Commerce with 476 marks, aspires to be a Chartered Accountant

Jamshedpur, May 31: Chaibasa’s Reshmi Kumari has emerged as the state topper in the Commerce stream in the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) Intermediate Examination, the results of which were released on Saturday. Education Minister Ramdas Soren declared the Intermediate Science and Commerce results at the JAC campus in Ranchi.

Reshmi, a student of St Xavier’s Inter College, Chaibasa, secured an impressive 476 marks to top the Commerce stream across Jharkhand. She is the daughter of businessman Rajesh Prasad and hails from Chaibasa in West Singhbhum district.

Her outstanding achievement has brought immense pride to the district. Reshmi credited her success to her parents, teachers, and consistent hard work. She aspires to become a Chartered Accountant and an inspirational figure who contributes to positive change in society.

Following closely behind Reshmi is Hasan Seikh from Government +2 High School, Mihizam, who secured 475 marks. Piyush Shaw, also from the same school, came third with 474 marks.

Reshmi’s success has been widely celebrated, with education department officials and local representatives extending their congratulations. The overall pass percentage in the Commerce stream stood at a strong 91.2%, reflecting a commendable performance by students across the state.
